As I stood beside my class this week I was aware of how tall they suddenly seem to be. They have grown so much without us really noticing on a weekly basis. The same can be said for the growth they have experienced as learners and thinkers. I have spent the last three weeks encouraging the children to try their best with their SATs booklets, but they didn’t really need any encouragement. They were ready and keen to show what they can do. As they finished the last booklet they had a collective sense of pride, which was well deserved. Well done Chaffinches – I’m proud of you all.
We have a large copy of our class photo in our classroom – you are welcome to take a look at it.
We sent out a letter on Thursday sharing thoughts about our trip next week. It is starting to look like we will need our suncream for the zoo and sport’s day.
On Wednesday we enjoyed a day planning, making and evaluating our ‘sea monster with moving parts’ models. There was a lot of creativity, enjoyment and collaboration taking place as we supported each other with ideas and the tricky bits! I hope you enjoyed talking about them as they were brought home on Friday.
