All about this week; a Robin’s account by Hallie and Scarlett.
This week has been fun filled, enjoyable and at times difficult.
On Monday morning we had sports day, it was enjoyable for everyone that took part and it was nice to see everyone having fun.
We have been doing tests this week, which have been tricky but everyone worked hard, didn’t strop and we should all be very proud of what we have achieved this week.
On Wednesday we got to spend the morning with Steve Skidmore our reading patron, we learnt about how to plan and construct an interesting and creative story about superheroes. He also gave us a little insight into his imagination and how he comes up with his ideas.
In the afternoon we conducted our science experiment. We made homemade lava lamps, we were looking at the density of water and oil and how when a fizzy tablet is put in the water and oil react.
On Thursday we showed our experiment to the rest of the school – The Great Science Share. Everyone liked it and were impressed with our experiment.
We liked the Year 6 experiment where they were trying to investigate which can contained beans and which cans contained other things, all by shaking, rolling and feeling the weight of the cans.
Today we have finished our tests and this afternoon we have been predicting and measuring the capacity of different objects from around the school.
We have enjoyed this week very much, we hope you have a lovely weekend with your lovely but noisy children – good luck.
