How lovely it is to welcome everyone to our new term.
We are beavering away to update all relevant forms etc and make sure everyone knows what we are getting on with!
We have 5 key priorities this year…
Learning to learn (metacognition)-this links to all our character and growth mindset work and work with parents
Maths fluency and reasoning…really getting into deeper thinking
Leadership-all our key leaders have their own responsibilities( so it won’t be just me you need to talk to-we are lucky to have a range of highly trained experts on our team). our pupil leaders have just met to start their own action plan linked to these priorities
Prioritising resilience and optimism is key for our whole community-ensuring we equip our children to adjust and adapt to change (they are going to be faced with massive social and cultural changes throughout their lives). this is slso a massive impact on mental health awareness. We as adults need to model these strategies to make sure our children gain a great sense of perspective and develop their robust attitudes to challenge.
We have a great set of results to celebrate. National averages are not yet public, but we know we will compare very favourably above these at age related expectations. Our percentages for Key stage 2 are all above 80%. across the school, our averages for all core subjects are 80% and above. This is fabulous. well done everyone.
