I write this after a busy couple of weeks working with staff looking forward. Following a very successful Ofsted and a busy Christmas period, we started the year revisiting our sense of purpose , what we want for our children and then made sure we have great plans to make that happen.
I also had a fantastic assembly session with the whole school encouraging children to tell us what they value about our school and what they learn .
Now we are really looking at what we offer across our whole curriculum to make sure what we say is what we do and that we make sure what we want our children to experience and learn is what we achieve – and more!
Then a hugely successful Young Voices trip popped in to really show us what we do that is valuable . The smiles on our children’s faces and the collaborative , self-regulation strategies they needed to succeed and achieve , as well as that learning involves practice and effort as well as resilience and they pay off dividends and can be really rewarding in terms of fulfilment and joy were absolute evidence that our achool vision is personified in what we deliver .
It may be that we need to unpick this further with more of you and make sure everyone is a part of building on our excellent achievements.
Here’s to a fantastic 2019!
