Yesterday years 2 and 3 went to the Sea Life Centre for an amazing day learning about sea creatures and their habitats.
We travelled on a double-decker bus to get there. It was exciting to sit upstairs.
We were able to touch some starfish and they felt rough and spiky – almost a bit prickly!
The penguins were cute because they kept waddling but when they were swimming they were very speedy and they could leap back out onto the ice.
When we saw the jellyfish we were surprised that some were big, but some were tiny! Some of the jellyfish were glowing. They reflected the different colours that were shining from the lights. Some information said that they have been on the planet longer than a T-Rex.
We saw a 4D movie about fish. Some of us felt water squirting us and it made us jump!
We saw two seals. They had patterned skin and one was so curious that he kept coming up to the glass window to look at us.
We saw sea horses and they looked spiky on their heads. They used their tails to help them swim and to wrap them around plants so they don’t float off.
In the tunnel we saw two huge, giant turtles that were absolutely delicate, graceful and smooth as they swam.
We were surprised that the sharks we saw were not actually eating all the other fish.
All in all we had a lovely day of learning and we want to say a big thank you to all the adults who came to look after us. We hope you had fun too.
