At the heart of our vision we hold a set of shared values which we seek to promote across our school and to foster in every individual through our teaching consideration of spiritual, moral, social and cultural values.
We seek to promote:
Respect in the creation of a community that respects the views and opinions of others as well as our own. This is founded in developing empathy in R Time and our Social and Emotional Literacy planning.
We also seek to promote growth in self esteem in enabling children to develop independence in becoming problem solvers and negotiatiators. We aim to promote this in the application of skills and knowledge across the curriculum and in thematic learning.
Rooted in these values we seek to develop learner’s resilience and perseverance through challenging children and developing growth mindsets, recognising that we learn by reflection and specifically celebrating achievement and considering next steps in our commitment to assessment for learning strategies. This fosters a community of risk- takers who can develop the confidence to approach learning with curiosity and creativity.
We would like them to ask “What do I want to give the world?”
Together we will ride the waves of imagination and chase endless possibilities over the horizon…
Every individual matters- what will you bring to our school?
Where do you see yourself ?
