We’ve enjoyed the beginning of our new English learning today!
We have been learning about time this week. We had great fun playing what’s the time Mr wolf? to consolidate our super learning.
The children enjoyed the game so much I caught some having a play outside at playtime!
Thankyou for bringing in your junk modelling bits and bobs! We have loved designing and making our robots this week! We have been very creative!
Tennis is a hit on Monday mornings! The children love being active and their skills are improving already! Keep up the good work year 1!
Thankyou for our story today! You read beautifully!
Hot chocolate went down a treat! Thankyou to all parents for the support!
This afternoon we joined up with our partner class and designed ducks for our own duck race!
Have a lovely weekend!
We’ve had a fun filled day! We’ve made some Indian sweets, dressed up in some beautiful sari’s, we coloured by numbers in a Rangoli pattern, we watched the story of Rama and Sita, we made divas and we made some Diwali cards! They will be sent home next week as they are just drying off!
We have loved the sunshine this week. We have been outdoors (in the shade) practicing our learning. We are getting better at grouping numbers using cubes to help us. We have also been learning all about dots and dashes (sound buttons).
A letter will be out next week organising a meeting about the Phonics Screening Test and how sound buttons can help the children identify the new sounds learnt. Hopefully you can all make it!
Enjoy the weekend!
The children had great fun using everything they had learnt about boats so far to create their own super large boat. The children thought about what materials would be best to help their boat float and worked collaboratively together to create their masterpiece.
It only seemed fair that we tested their creation. What better place than in our very own swimming pool!
The children did a great job and their boat floated beautifully across the water.
The children and I would like to say a big thank you to Corinne!
We really appreciate you coming in to help us with our learning and developing our creativity.
The children really enjoy their P.E session on a Tuesday morning. It’s lovely to see their skills developing week by week. Watching their faces light up when they achieve what they couldn’t before is priceless!
Proud of you all!
